Battlestar galactica deadlock revenant11/17/2023 The Cerastes is fitted with high RoF point-defence turrets similar to those found on the flightpods of Battlestars, and specialises in softening hostile fighter squadrons. An array of missile tubes, a forward-facing hangar and a powerful electronic warfare suite rounds out this high threat cruiser.Ĭerastes (Cylon) – A Defensive Gunship, this small and fast vessel was created as a response to the rapid escalation of Colonial Viper design. The Phobos class tech cruiser has highly sophisticated DRADIS systems integrated into its FTL drives, allowing it to make tactical-range jumps while engaged with the enemy. Phobos (Cylon) – A High Impact Tech Cruiser specialized in Hacking it possesses the unique ability to perform high-accuracy, short-range Tactical FTL Jumps mid-battle! Heavy armor playing provides it with enough staying power to remain relevant in modern warfare, although its older fire control systems are considered outdated compared to more modern cruisers. The Janus heavy cruiser is an old Gemenese ship, made popular during the later stages of the imperial wars between Virgon and Leonis. A really tough ship for heavy firepower battles. Janus (Colonial) – A Heavy Cruiser, with high staying power and heavy armor plating. However, when attached to a Battlestar fleet or strike group, it provides powerful complementary firepower and squadron support. The carrier is not designed to survive prolonged engagements by itself. The Reinforcement Pack DLC brings new content to Battlestar Galactica Deadlock! With four new ships, new types of ammo and some surprises, the Reinforcement Pack is a must for every Colonial or Cylon admiral!īerzerk (Colonial) – A pocket-sized Assault Carrier, the Berzerk class carrier brings additional heavy artillery to the Colonial ranks and is an effective force multiplier in Colonial Fleet strike groups. It is the way of war, there is no other option. He who wants to survive will need to learn. New weapons and new strategies can turn the tide. Both the Cylons and the Colonials develop powerful new weapons and ships in an attempt to break this deadlock. Victory is still beyond the grasp of each side. Years of war followed, years of sacrifice, heroism and massive bloodshed. But the Colonials struck back with all they had. It all started with a devastating surprise Cylon attack, and the Twelve Colonies recoiled. Hopefully when we get the next update, where you can see the impact that ARPs have on accuracy with +15, the -20 that raptor boarding gives will become more apparent.War rages in the quaternary system of Cyrannus. Unfortunately for the casual player, the AI is pretty terrible, a prime example of this is revenants going so slowly they can be torpedoed, meaning that when it is debuffed by boarding, it’s hard to tell the performance difference in ships. It’s effective at keep cylons from recovering quickly, but it’s not going to have a major impact on a gun battle. Repair speed? Ehhh, it’s mostly a point of contention for colonial builds that are based around EMP mines and generators. Making that part of the debuff worse to the point where all cylon ships care will just hammer the revenant and cerestes into the ground. The accuracy penalty is already pretty harsh, and the processing power debuff to cylons is a already a kick in the teeth to some ships, however the Cerberus and a few others don’t care about losing power, and the Argos will always have a fully powered up armoury, so again, doesn’t care as it’ll dislodge the boarders within a couple of turns. Which is then, alright, but I’d rather have the instantaneous debuff, rather than the gradual subsystem degradation.Īmplifying the debuff? Now that’s a difficult area. If it does subsystem damage, that’s just what cylon boarding does. It also becomes faaaaar too good when compared to Assualt Raptors, which cost 60 and they still need to break through the armour. If it does hull damage, then all my fleets are going to cram raptors in the support slots, get the enemy fighter blob committed to my fighter blob, then rush board the enemy and detonate their ships. The issue with planting warheads is, what does it do? If it just does armour damage, then what’s the difference compared to using the basic rockets from a distance where they can reliably score a hit. either that or make the debuff more tangible for the casual player Originally posted by maxcorrice:raptors should be able to do exactly what they did in razor and at the end of season 1, board ships and leave behind warheads.
